Note: The Beer League Champion (Elsinore - Anthony Citarella) is already included in the league package, so it is not included here.  However, he does pick up his bonus teams (along with other division winners in the Beer League).

Bonus Free Teams

These teams are only for use for brand new teams or - perhaps for one year only - orphan teams.  These teams may be given to another owner if you don't want to use them.  Typically, that transfer will be for a brand new owner in BWB, but the idea in 2009 is to seed new leagues.  So you can give the free team to a new or existing owner of BWB.  These teams are free in 2009, but will be regular price in 2010.

NOTE: Your team has already been awarded to you - click on the "Leagues" link at the top of the page.  You can rename it now, etc. etc.  When new leagues are opened up for 2009 (in early November), you'll be able to join them.  If you want an orphan team, let me know and I'll have to do a manual switch.  If you know you don't plan to use the team or give it away, let me know and I'll delete it.

To give away your team: Have your friend sign up for BWB, if he/she is not a current owner.  There is an option during sign up to "take a team a friend has reserved for me" (or something similar to that) - have them choose that option so that they don't get charged for a team.  Then contact me and I will switch ownership.  Hopefully this winter there will be a page that will allow you to do it yourself, but that's low on my priority list.
