Benchwarmer Championships
In 2006 we have a team trying to win back-to-back titles, a team
that won the first championship in 2000, and 2 teams with recent
success trying to get it done in the post-season.
Matthewson Conference: Springfield (81-69) vs. Boar's Nest (92-58)
Springfield started the season sprinting to the Cobb Division lead
and then had to hold off a late surge by D-Town. Boar's Nest
once again pulled away late from a tight race on the way to their 4th
straight division crown. Springfield won the whole thing in
2000, and Boar's Nest has titles in 2003 and again last year.
Season series: Boar's Nest went 9-3 in the
head-to-head matchup.

Johnson Conference: Milford (88-62) vs. Oaxaca (102-48)
This series is a rematch of last year's conference series and the
roles are somewhat reversed. Last year, Milford came in with the
top record of the league, but was knocked off by upstart Oaxaca in 6
games. Milford is no upstart (this is their 3rd straight
division title), but as late as Week 10 they were still below .500 and
10 games back. They'd love to turn the tables this season.

BWB CHAMPIONSHIP : Milford vs. Boar's Nest
Two former expansion teams now appear to be a model of success.
Milford won their third straight division title this season (much
harder than last season), but finally have cracked through to the
championship round. Boar's Nest is on a run of four straight
division titles - and they make their third visit to the championship
- winning it all the previous two times (including last year).
Season series: Tied 3-3
