Boomer won the initial league championship - Kansas City followed
up with a second-place showing in the Benchwarmer Bash. Who will
win in 2007?
Red Barber Conference: Kansas City (82-68) vs. Boomer (83-67)
Boomer almost didn't make it to attempt a repeat performance.
After taking over the Ernie Harwell Division lead for good in Week 15,
they held a 5-game lead over San Antonio entering the final week of
the season. In Game 150, a San Antonio win over Boomer would
have forced a tie in the division, but they prevailed in the end.
Kansas City also held the top position for most of the season.
Though at times the race was tight, they pulled away to win the Prince
Division by 10 games. Boomer won the conference series 4 games to 2
over KC last season.

Mel Allen Conference: Philadelphia (81-69) vs. Moscow (90-60)
It was a league with remarkable consistency in the top spots of the
divisions, although Philadelphia had some first-half struggles before
finally taking over in the Jack Buck Division and beat back Jersey
Boardwalk. A league-best 37-17 division record aided their
quest, but Philadelphia won 20 fewer games than in 2006.
Meanwhile, Moscow had little threat in the Haray Carey on their way to
the league's best regular season record. Last year, Moscow swept
the conference series 4-0.
